CEU/CPD Information for Physical Therapy Practitioners and Speech-Language Pathologists: A Certificate of Completion will be available for registrants who participate in this webinar and successfully complete the post-test (>70%; 2 attempts permitted).  A description of the webinar with learning outcomes can be attached to the certificate and submitted to individual licensing authorities.   • Dr. Jana Cason is a professor in the Auerbach School of Occupational Therapy at Spalding University in Louisville, KY; CEO and Director of Professional Development at TelehealthShare LLC; and a pediatric occupational therapist. She was an early pioneer of telehealth engaging in research related to telehealth in early intervention beginning in 2008. Dr. Cason is a past chair of the American Telemedicine Association’s Telerehabilitation Special Interest Group and past chair of the American Occupational Therapy Associations Technology Special Interest Group. She is a Fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association and a telehealth expert with 16 years of practice experience in early intervention. Dr. Cason co-authored the Early Intervention chapter in the Case Smith’s Occupational Therapy for Children and Adolescents textbook. She also co-authored the World Federation of Occupational Therapists’ Position Statement on Telehealth, the American Occupational Therapy Association’s Position Paper on Telehealth, and the American Telemedicine Association’s Blueprint for Telerehabilitation Guidelines and Principles for Delivering Telerehabilitation Services. She has published numerous book chapters, monographs, and articles and is widely cited by authors across disciplines. Dr. Cason serves as Senior Associate Editor of the International Journal of Telerehabilitation, a peer-reviewed, PubMed and SCOPUS indexed journal.

Introductory

Course Learning Outcomes

1. Explain 2 reasons telehealth aligns well with early intervention services (IDEA Part C).

2. Identify 3 key resources to support best practices when using telehealth to deliver early intervention services.

3. Identify 3 assessments and 3 interventions that can be used with a telehealth service delivery model.

4. Describe 2 benefits and 2 challenges associated with the implementation of telehealth in early intervention programs.

Instructional Methods

Live Webinars include presenter and participant interaction. Multimedia formats are used during instruction including a live video feed of instructor, PowerPoint, supplemental videos, interactive polls, and/or chat discussion.


On-demand courses include video and audio recordings of live webinars with multimedia formats described above.

Assessment of Learning Outcomes

Learner outcomes are assessed through the CE post-test for live, on-demand, and self-paced learning modules. Post-test questions are based on learning outcomes listed in the course descriptions. 

Course Completion Requirements

1. Record of attendance (recorded automatically by webinar system).

2. Verification of learner identity (attestation statement on post-test).

3. Successful completion of the post-test (≥ 70%)

4. Completion of CE Course Evaluation with brief reflection on application of knowledge.

Cancellation Policy

Policy and Procedures for Activity Cancellation by TelehealthShare

Live webinar trainings may be canceled by TelehealthShare LLC if no more than 5 registrations have been received 24 hours prior to the training or when a speaker emergency arises. Refund for the full amount paid will be credited to accounts within 24 hours of cancellation. Learners will be notified by email before the training start time. Learners must reply to verify receipt of the email notifications.


Policy and Procedures for Activity Cancellation by the Learner

Learners may cancel their registration up until the start time of the training. Refunds will be issued following the guidelines outlined for TelehealthShare cancellations listed above.

Refund Policy

Full refunds will be given for participants who experience technical difficulties or express dissatisfaction with the course at any time prior to completion of the post-test. Refund requests can be emailed to webinars@telehealthshare.com.
